This regular steam train  journey  leaves from  Ravenshoe Station, pulling its historic carriages through open bushland and across trestle bridges to the little siding of  Tumoulin,  at 960metres,(3160ft), the highest Railway Station in Queensland.
Ravenshoe is famous for its timber industry, and during WWII was an important training camp for many soldiers before embarking             for the Pacific war.
Ravenshoe is a picturesque country town, the highest in Queensland, on the Evelyn Tablelands West of Cairns/Innisfail in Far North Queensland, and is popular for its 'air-conditioned' climate, away from coastal humidity in Summer and crisp Winters, giving the area a temperate ( four seasons) climate in a tropical region.
